The campus newspaper wrote 2 articles about us this week. You can read them here:

We just won $500.00 in a design competition. Thanks to everyone who supported us!
We had a few companies and people who supported our crazy endeavour. We never could have made it through the week without their help.
So here is a HUGE thank you from all of at 7CubedProject to all of our sponsors.
Jesse Rodgers for setting up most of our connections and showing up randomly throughout the week to tell us we were amazing.

Communitech Hub for giving us workspace and helping promote our activities during the week.

Facebook for supplying us with food for the week. it was delicious and allowed us to focus on delivering amazing apps.

Brick Brewery for supplying us with after-party beer!

Modevation Media for filming us all week and producing fantastic videos of each day. Videos to be posted!

Once again, thank you so very much for all of your support and assistance during the week. 7CubedProject really appreciated it!
So, as our final day, we decided to mix things up a bit. All week we had been pitching ideas and deciding which ones to pursue. We created a large list of projects that were too small for 7 people to wrk on simultaneously.
Therefore, we each decided to work on a different project on Friday to play around and learn new technologies.
Jeff and Avi
Our two resident “iPhone whizzes” decided to work on connection multiple iPads via Bluetooth to see what they could create. They implemented 2 products.
CanviPad
Draw with your friends on multiple iPads connected to each other via Bluetooth. Draw on your iPad and everyone else sees your designs! This app is being released into the Apple App Store.
Unamed Music App
They used Bluetooth connections to link two iPads such that pressing buttons on 1 iPad plays sounds on the other. They used this app to prank everyone who entered the workspace for the whole afternoon.
Avi would hide his iPad under the table and press on it to create sounds on Jeff’s iPad while Jeff waved his hand above the iPad screen. Jeff marketed this new technology as being able to sense movement above the device. It blew everyone’s minds!
Scott and Barbara
Scott really wanted to make Bliptronic on the Android platform and Barbara really wanted to play around with Bluetooth connections for Android phones. Therefore, Scott implemented the UI and music capabilities and Barbara implemented the connections between devices. It was super fun!
Gareth
Gareth implemented Triceradactyl, a group dating/activity website. Ever want to do an activity but have enough people for it? Just use this service to set up an event and specify a minimum number of people required for the event to run. It’s similar to Groupon for activities.
Ross
Ross made a sweet app named “Too Hipster”. In order to be hip, you cannot listen to top 40/ top 100 musical songs. Those songs are just not hip anymore. Therefore, Ross wrote an app that will let you know when a song enters a top hits list so that you can remove it from your playlist.
We are keeping people hip 1 song at a time!
Gilbert
Gilbert implemented a stunning webapp named Lil Blip. Using geolocation technologies, the website allows people in the same location to broadcast messages to everyone else.
Chris
Chris created logos for all of the apps and was overworked the whole day! We were ALL impressed with how much work he completed on Friday.
As were brainstorming away, the Canadian Minister of Reseach and Innovation stopped by for a visit. He even mentioned us during his keynote presentation at the Hub.
Here is Gareth pitching 7CubedProject to him:
Here is Jeff pitching http://uwchat.ca to him:
Explaining Minecraft AND MineHub to the minister:
Here is the Minister imparting his wisdom upon us. It was fantastic.
Finally, here are our reactions on this visit. We were BLOWN away.
